Windows update problems?

It seems Microsoft Corp.’s consumer security software changes the Automatic Updates (AU) settings in Windows XP and Vista without telling users or getting their approval. They are denying this of course, but a researcher is saying otherwise. This sure would explain allot of problems folks have been having don’t ya think? It seems that Microsoft OneCare is the root of the problem and is responsible for the changes in settings. No matter which Automatic Update setting the user has set previously, Windows OneCare changes it over to the fully automatic option as it installs with the user none the wiser. Microsoft would like to blame it on the end user, and are claiming we are *absent minded* and must have made the changes ourselves and forgotten. Horse rubbish! OneCare is also turning on Windows services that have previously been disabled by us. How convenient for Microsoft right? Gotta love how they think they know more then we do and that we should ultimately do what they want us to do, irregardless of if its something we want or not.
